I have an extensive library of music and karaoke which is updated frequently. I also have many popular music videos in DVD and VCD formats. These can be played on a large screen or, at your bequest, a projector screen I can supply. This provides more variety for your entertainment needs. Currently, in my collection, I have an array of music from 50’s/60’s up to present, Country/Western, traditional, interactive, virtually anything you can think of. If I am scheduled to play at your event, and I don’t have a song or artist that you wish to have played, I will gladly obtain it.

The primary concern wedding couples face in choosing a DJ, is that the selection of music provided can span across the boundaries of ages and can appease the most discriminate tastes. Aside from the music needs at such a special occasion, your DJ should also act as your master of ceremonies to help maintain the proper atmosphere, and to help regulate the flow of events during the reception.

Your DJ should work closely with your photographer, to capture all the special moments on film, to be remembered and cherished for this most important of occasions. So while you may be thinking of hiring a DJ just for the music, it is important that you consult with him or her a few weeks beforehand, to discuss the desired order of events. Events such as the cutting of the cake, the toast, as well as the bouquet and garter toss. Remember also, your DJ will be introducing you and your wedding party. It is extreemly important that they know how to pronounce all the names correctly, and as such they should confer with you for the proper phonetic pronunciations of any challenging names.

Having a DJ you can trust to handle all the "Master of Ceremonies" duties is obviously important, but where "great" DJs really shine, is when it comes to knowing what music will get your guests on the dance floor. As tradition mandates, most of your guests will not dance until after the bride and groom have had their first dance. This may also be followed by a dance for the bride and father, and/or one for the groom and his mother. If other special dances are in order, these will normally follow the aformentioned. Other traditions such as the Money/Dollar dance, or the Rose/Anniversary celebration can take place at appropriate times during the reception. In most cases, your DJ will start the dance portion of your reception directly following the special dances. This propogates including your guests on the dance floor so that they don’t begin to feel distanced from the festivities.

Proper planning for your reception should also include giving your DJ a guideline of the types of music to be played (Dance, Country, Beach, Rock ‘N’ Roll,Oldies, etc). Keeping in mind the need for all your guests to be satisfied, it is imperative your DJ is prepared with a wide variety of music to suit all tastes. Giving your DJ a list of songs or ambient music that you would like to hear during the meal, will set the tone for the activites to come. Just remember that your wedding day is a time to celebrate, so dance and enjoy yourself!
